eWonic helps English and Spanish speakers translate live conversations using One Phone, Team Session, and Conference modes.

When contacting support, include:

    •    Your device model and iOS version

    •    Which mode you were using: One Phone, Team Session, or Conference

    •    Whether you were online, offline, on Wi-Fi, hotspot, or cellular

    •    Any error message shown in the app

    •    Whether you were using AirPods, speaker, wired headphones, or Bluetooth


Troubleshooting
Microphone is not working

Open iPhone Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Microphone and make sure eWonic is allowed. Then fully close and reopen the app.

Speech recognition is not working

Open Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Speech Recognition and allow eWonic. For offline use, make sure the English and Spanish speech/language packs are installed on the device.

Offline translation is not working

Offline translation depends on Apple’s on-device speech, translation, and voice support. Make sure your device supports the required language packs and that English/Spanish offline language resources are downloaded.

Nearby sessions do not appear

Make sure both devices are awake, close to each other, and on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot when using Wi-Fi rooms. Also check Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Local Network and allow eWonic.

QR scanning is not working

Open Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Camera and allow eWonic. You can also enter the room code manually if QR scanning fails.

Cloud Live is not available

Cloud Live requires the host to have internet access and the Conference plan. Try restoring purchases from Plan & Billing, check your connection, or switch to on-device/offline mode when available.

Listeners cannot hear translated audio

Check the listener’s selected language, volume, silent mode, and audio output route. If using Bluetooth or AirPods, reconnect them or switch temporarily to speaker.

Audio sounds delayed or cuts out

Use stable Wi-Fi or a hotspot for larger sessions. Keep devices nearby, avoid switching apps during active sessions, and use speaker or wired headphones if Bluetooth is unstable.

Restore Purchases does not work

Open Plan & Billing -> Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the purchase. If account sync is enabled, sign in with the same eWonic account used for billing sync.

I bought Teams but Conference is still locked

Teams unlocks Team Session hosting. Conference hosting, speaking as a conference host, Cloud Live, and conference notes require the Conference plan.

How many languages does eWonic support?

eWonic supports 70+ languages, with more being added over time.

Can I use eWonic without internet?

Yes, One Phone and local/offline paths can work without internet when the required on-device language resources are available.

Do listeners need to pay?

No. Joining Team Sessions and Conferences as a listener is available without a paid plan.

Who needs a subscription?

Teams unlocks Team Session hosting. Conference unlocks Conference hosting, speaking as host, Cloud Live, generated conference notes when available, and Team Session hosting.

Does eWonic record or sell transcripts?

eWonic does not use transcript analytics. Local/offline modes process speech on device or between nearby devices. Cloud Live sends host audio to Gemini only while the host uses online Conference mode.

Can I use AirPods or Bluetooth headphones?

Yes, but live audio can vary by route. If audio feels delayed or unstable, try speaker or wired headphones.

How do I delete saved notes or transcripts?

Open Saved Notes, choose the note, and use the available delete/edit/export options.
