For community & civic

The whole town hears the town hall.

Town halls, clinics, school nights and services where the people who most need to understand often cannot. They scan a code and hear it in their own language, in their own earbuds, with captions. Nothing to install.

First 90 minutes free. No card. Nothing for residents to install.

The setup

Set up before the doors open.

01

Put the code at the door

Print the QR for the entrance, the chairs and the first slide. Your account draws it, and the same code works for every meeting.

02

Start from the front table

A laptop or phone that can hear the speaker, with a browser and an internet connection. Start when the meeting does, stop when it ends.

03

They scan and listen

The page opens in their browser. They pick a language and put in their earbuds, or read the captions on the same screen.

In the room

What every resident gets.

70+ languages, two at once

Every resident chooses their own. Two run at the same time on every plan, chosen from more than seventy, and more can be added, up to five.

Natural voices and live captions

A voice that sounds like a person, and the words on screen as they are said, in the listener’s language or the speaker’s own.

Captions on the screen and the stream

A caption page for the room’s screen and an overlay for the public-access stream, both included.

Keep the meeting

When the meeting ends, residents can keep it and get notes in their language, so the decision reaches the people it is about.

Integrations

Fits the room you already meet in.

eWonic adds no hardware to the room. Everything it shows is a web page with its own link in your account, so it goes wherever a web page can go.

The room’s screen

Open the caption page full screen on the laptop that drives the screen, or on a TV at the front, and the room reads along.

Public-access and livestreams

Add the overlay page as a browser source in OBS or vMix and the stream carries captions in the language you choose.

Flyers, mailers and signs

The QR is an image your account draws. Print it on the meeting notice, the flyer and the sign at the door.

Notices and messages

The listener page is a link. Put it in the meeting notice, the text reminder and the neighborhood group, and it opens with no download.

The plan

Starter for the meeting room. Growth for the hall.

A clinic’s waiting room or a school night fits Starter. A town hall of two hundred fits Growth. A city with many departments, or more than five languages, is Enterprise.

Questions

Do residents need an app?

No. They scan the code with their phone’s camera, the page opens in the browser, and they choose a language. Nothing to download and no account to make.

What if someone has no earbuds?

Captions run on the same page, so a phone alone is enough to follow. Anyone with wired or wireless earbuds hears the voice too.

How many languages can we run?

Two at the same time on every plan, chosen from more than seventy. More can be added to a plan, up to five in all.

Is anything recorded?

The host can export the transcript and its translation as text when the meeting ends, for the minutes. Nothing is sold or used for analytics.

What happens after the free 90 minutes?

Choose a plan in your account. There is no card on the trial, so nothing is charged until you choose. The minutes count while a meeting is started, whether or not anyone is listening yet, so keep the microphone test short.
